Press Release

Void - empty, vacant, blank, bare, clear, free, unfilled, unoccupied, unintended. RKG transitions to the project Void from the previous show Garbage Heaven. It was strategically selected to examine the Void as a tribute to our third anniversary. Every project since the start of RKG has had its own life. Each has communicated its own message and delivered this message to an audience. We observe the life of each
project. Some of us are witnesses, some consider the invitation, and others decline. All of these decisions together are the subject of the current investigation. A person cannot be present at all times and in all circumstances. Both visiting and not visiting the gallery are active forms of participation. The message from every art piece always includes an openness to each individual’s interpretation. The art can be dismissed either before or after it is seen. This is the entry point to the project Void, which observes the integration of a new space into the galleries journey. The existing space is to highlite the void, by becoming empty, vacant, blank, bare, clear, free, unfilled, unoccupied, freeing the gallery for the journey to the new location, prepared good, as a void stage, for the third anniversary of RKG.
