Garage Sale – Many artists, known and unknown.

Richard Rizzo was born in 1979, in the city of York, and now resides in Toronto. He received his Master of Fine Arts specializing in Painting from the University of Waterloo.

“Transcend” started a year ago; a collaboration between David Van Drunen and Robert Kananaj. Painting and sculpture installation brought together around a mutual interest of recycled doors as a subject of interest.

For the duration of Cluster “Obiter dictum”, Paulina Wiszowata, in a position to find herself nested at the window space of Robert Kananaj Gallery, infiltrates this art institutional space beyond display, by manifesting a collaborative project.

The project, Garbage Heaven has been a year in the making by Robert Kananaj, and continues to  be an ongoing project. It was strategically chosen to be the last show  at our existing location, before we move to our new space with Robert Kananaj Gallery.

Void – empty, vacant, blank, bare, clear, free, unfilled, unoccupied, unintended. RKG transitions to the project Void from the previous show Garbage Heaven. It was strategically selected to examine the Void as a tribute to our third anniversary.

The Albanian works display an edged society- prison rooms, ghettos, enclosed persona, where one is held in intimate stasis.

The pieces that I have in this exhibition are summary of the work I’ve done in the last three years, they are all works on paper or canvas.

For “Writing Abstracts” I express myself as poet and writer as well as visual artist. Instead of allowing the poetry and writing to remain static, limited by ordinary typeface and boring typography, it is transformed, brought to the realm of visual arts.

Torsten Richter is a young German artist committed to mastering the drawing. Torsten’s object-drawings areof real size objects which transcend. Attention given to everyday objects such as scythe, pitchfork or old wooden board, objects which assert themselves more by the sacred presence.
