Robert Kananaj Gallery brings informed excitement to its journey, by inviting Kee Ip to present his artwork derived directly from an unconventional discipline. Viewing mathematics as ready-made art, functional as sober thought experiments, connected with purity, minimalism, harmony, complexity, order, disorder, this project provides a stage for interventions.

Kee Ip sees his body of work as a visual/spatial realization of interesting mathematical relations, striving to present the order and disorder in mathematics through visual media.

Often referencing mathematical observations in geometry and number theory, Kee's work explores the parallel of mathematical aesthetics and abstract art.  The seemingly intuitive compositions of his paintings, drawings, installations or projections are all based on precise mathematics, very often with an architectural undertone – harking back to his early years in architecture school.
